This place is amazing. The customer service is amazing. The staff is super friendly. The food is absolutely amazing and comes quickly. The portions are huge. The spicy pork bulgogi is amazing. The place is clean and in a great neighborhood. There is plenty of parking.

First time trying out this place and I think we'll return again in the future!
Love that there's so many options to choose from. I got the curry katsu plate and upgraded to fried rice and my husband got the Mongolian beef and teriyaki chicken combo plate and also upgraded to fried rice. We also got gyoza and bubble tea drinks all to go. The portions for everything were perfect and looked so good! Flavor was kind of lacking for the fried rice and gyoza but otherwise everything was amazing. The bubble tea drinks were like smoothies and tasted good with just enough sweetness.
We really appreciate the patience of the guy who was taking our order since it took us a little bit to figure out what we wanted but he was super friendly and answered all questions we had. Looking forward to trying out more items from them soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katie R.Long Beach, CA238407Jan 26, 2024
Looking for a good amount of food for the money? Order from Happy Teriyaki! Their bento boxes are enough food for a single person to eat for 2-3 meals. I occasionally order from here when I'm traveling for business and I really appreciate that aspect. The staff is also very friendly, and food is prepared really quickly.
I was initially wary after seeing they have a 3 star rating, but once I read reviews I realized most of the low reviewers are people who have never actually been here or who got confused because of hours online. One person even gave them a 1 star rating because they don't have Thai tea on their website... it's a Japanese restaurant (PSA for all people - Thailand and Japan are different countries.)
Anyhow.. this place is great, and I highly recommend! Thanks for being awesome, Happy Teriyaki.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 592506610Feb 5, 2024
Great affordable lunch spot. There is an entire menu dedicated to lunch specials so there's no need to stray from It since nearly everything is non It. The bento box is the best bang for your buck if you want a little bit of everything for about $16 give or take a few bucks. There's also a selection of drinks (boba tea) and canned drinks available. This is located right outside of base so It will be busy with military personnel during the normal lunch hours but the service is quick and worth a try.

I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken with double rice and no salad. It was exactly what it was supposed to be and that is perfect. The rice and chicken were perfectly cooked and the teriyaki sauce was good not sweet or too gooey or runny. Just right!
Service to go was VERY quick less than 5mins but I did come at lunch time so maybe that was why. They were busy but not overrun. Plenty of parking and it was a safe area. Plenty of seating while waiting for my order and plenty of seating that looked comfortable for dining in. They had booths and tables.
Will definitely be going back to try Cashew Chicken and Honey Garlic Chicken plus the wonton soup.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1944383724Mar 28, 2023
This one is located in a shopping center like area. Close to a couple of hotels (actually walking distance). So it's very convenient. There's ample parking in the lot so no worries about looking for a parking.
All of the food we ordered was served fast and it was delicious. We came as a group and it was our first time. So we all tried each others food. I really liked my egg rolls and veggie tempura mix. It was nice and crispy and hot!
Service was friendly and food came right away in the order it was placed. Our server was very accommodating. One person in our group did not like the drink she ordered so it was replaced with what she liked free of charge (Kudos to that)!
I thought it was a bit darker inside than it should have been but maybe that's the type of lighting they wanted it to be.... I don't know. Maybe it was where we were sitting.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jon D.Leeds, United Kingdom01Apr 15, 2024
slow service, then refused to sell a side of curry sauce... i used to eat at Happy Teriyaki in DuPont, WA whenever I was in town but will not be going back.

During my trip to the Seattle area, I spontaneously decided to try out the restaurant conveniently located next door to my hotel. Arriving late in the evening, I wanted to make sure I chose a decent place to eat, so I checked the reviews for Happy Teriyaki, which seemed to have a positive reception.
From the outside, the restaurant appeared unassuming, but once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and inviting dining area. Opting to order online, the process was seamless, and my order was promptly prepared.
The highlight of my meal was the Spicy Chicken dish, which truly stood out. The chicken was tender, bathed in a flavorful sauce with just the right level of spiciness. Alongside the chicken, I enjoyed the perfectly stir-fried vegetables and a generous portion of white steamed rice.
To be on the safe side, I also ordered vegetable egg rolls on the side. Served hot and crispy, these delectable rolls had a subtle flavor but overall, nothing remarkable.
The portion sizes were more than generous, and I ended up with enough leftovers for a couple of additional meals. Thankfully, my hotel room had a refrigerator, so I could enjoy the deliciousness again later.
In conclusion, Happy Teriyaki turned out to be a delightful find, tucked away in an unexpected location. If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. The Spicy Chicken was a definite winner, and the overall experience was a pleasant surprise.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kena W.San Diego, CA023Oct 17, 2023
Since moving here, this place has become my husband and my go to spot. The food is very delicious especially if you love different asian cuisines. They give very generous portions that don't disappoint plus the staff is so friendly and nice! This place is so worth it which is why I understand why my husband and all the military guys come here! If you're stopping in for lunch or dinner and can't decide on the many delicious options they have, I'd recommend the Lunch or Dinner Bento Box, you get a little bit of everything and it's very filling! The food is great every time we come in and it's worth the price! I highly recommend!

Not sure if the rest of the people leaving reviews have any taste buds but this might of been the worst teriyaki/Chinese food I've had. Service was good though, just the food was not good. If you can go to a Sarku Japan if you want some good teriyaki.
