REAL REVIEWS:

Michael ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is now my favorite Mexican food, their servers had great recommendations and we tried some dishes I would have never experienced without the server telling us about them. My favorite thing about this place is actually the rice and beans. That may sound weird, but they actually season both which is Hugh, because most places rice and beans are bland. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.

I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I've eaten here 4 or 5 times in the last two weeks. Every time I'm in town, I come here and get one thing... the chimichangas. You can't beat it for $15.99. Huge portions, I get two meals out of this thing easy. Good, old fashioned Mexican food with the American palette in mind. Very mild spicy level, fresh guacamole, and comes with rice and beans. They have their takeout service down to a science! If you're in the DuPont area, don't miss out on Viva!

Jennica ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am from down south where the Mexican food is superb, so when I moved to Washington I knew I wouldn't find anything like it. I feel like most places don't know how to season food well here, or are scared of seasoning. I tend to just cook all my Mexican food at home knowing it will come out good. But, I can honestly say that this place is good. Its comparable and a lot better than all the other Mexican restaurants I have tried here. Even if it is a little further of a drive, this is where I would go for my Mexican food. The service is always great, I like how they speak spanish to us (it makes us feel at home). The ambiance is nice, well decorated and feels like a real Mexican restaurant. I have gone twice so far (only because its not as close to us as I would like). If people want Mexican food this is who I recommend to them.

Listen as I'm sitting here right NOW!
I wish i could give more than 5 stars . Now, I've done been to many Mexican restaurants, where the food was about 3/5 or 4/5 just because it was the local favorite but VIVA BABY y'all won today !
From the customer service when you first walk in to the bartender remembering your order without a note pad !
Bar section : very comfortable, inviting , muy bien.
Now let's get into this order:
House red wine : 7/10
Michelato: 10/10
Margarita flight : 1000/1000
( alcohol isn't too heavy it's PERFECT!)
Fajitas for 2 ( pleaaase add the shrimp ) 100/100
Yes get both corn and tortilla plus, the red and green salsa ! I promise you after 3 each you're going to be fuller than life and still have left overs and might want to eat more even though you can't . Not only do they play Bad Bunny ladies , they're very respectful. The moment you think you forgot to add something here comes one of the waiters or bartenders bringing that so said item to you !
It's the recognition for US! All the colors that are in here from the Hispanic heritage to the fancy pink lights at the bar you'll feel warmed and welcomed no matter who or what ( pronoun friendly) you/y'all maybe .
Great job Viva. You'll be seeing me and our happy belly again
